With profound sadness and heavy hearts, the Snowbird Sports Education Foundation (SBSEF) community, family, friends, and the Wyoming community are mourning the unexpected passing of Holden Parazette, 26, a beloved young coach whose passion, dedication, and positive influence touched the lives of many athletes and members of the community.
Holden served as an SBSEF U16 coach, where he shared not only his knowledge and love for sports but also his encouragement, mentorship, and genuine care for the young athletes he guided. His role extended far beyond coaching; he became a trusted mentor and a source of inspiration for those who had the opportunity to learn from him.
Those who knew Holden remember him as someone who brought energy, enthusiasm, and kindness into every interaction. His commitment to helping young athletes grow, both on and off the mountain, reflected the type of person he was — dedicated, supportive, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.
The news of Holden’s passing has left the SBSEF community devastated. Coaches, athletes, families, and friends are coming together to honor his memory and recognize the lasting impact he made during his time with the organization. Although his life was tragically cut short, the influence he had on those around him will continue to be remembered.
Holden’s connection with the athletes he coached went beyond training and competition. He helped create an environment built on teamwork, confidence, perseverance, and a shared love for the sport. Many will remember the encouragement he offered, the lessons he taught, and the positive spirit he brought to every practice and event.
In honor of Holden’s life and the legacy he leaves behind, the SBSEF community is inviting friends, athletes, families, and supporters to participate in a “Hike for Holden” on July 29. Participants are asked to meet at the Bryce Astle Training Center (Entry 1, Snowbird) at 3:30 PM as the community comes together to celebrate Holden and remember the joy he brought to so many people.
During this heartbreaking time, heartfelt condolences are extended to Holden Parazette’s family, friends, teammates, fellow coaches, and everyone affected by his passing. May they find comfort in the memories they shared and strength in the love and support surrounding them.
Holden Parazette will be remembered as a passionate coach, a caring mentor, and a valued member of the SBSEF community. His kindness, dedication, and positive influence will continue to inspire the many lives he touched.
Rest in peace, Holden. Your legacy will live on through the athletes you coached, the friendships you built, and the countless memories you left behind. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
